Why Is Biology Important?
Biology is the science of life. Studying life is important on many levels. For example, if we're sick, it can help us figure out what's wrong and then resolve the problem.
Some of the most important uses for biology are:
Researching diseases, so we can learn more about them, how they work, and how to eliminate them.
Researching foods, so we can know which foods are healthy and which ones to avoid.
Finding out more about our environment and better learning how to survive in it.
Learning more about the chemicals that make up our bodies.
There are many other uses for biology, so many that they cannot be fully listed here, but these are some of the main ones.
