The Life of a Knight in Medieval England
The life of an English knight in Medieval England was perilous. They fought in wars, and for their ruler's entertainment.
The knights of England lived at their ruler's castle as a bodyguard and as an entertainer for him. When the king wanted the knights to entertain him, he held jousting competitions or mock wars. Some knights came out of this with their reputations destroyed, but some came out with glory bestowed upon them by the king.
In wars, the knights were called upon to defend their country. They were the elite of the army and were usually used to win the battles against enemies.
Other than that, knights lived in castles along with their lords. They lived a quiet life, and were treated with respect by everyone.
