Romeo is one of the Montague family, which is having a feud with the Capulet family. He is sad that he cannot get married to his girlfriend, so his cousin Benvolio takes him to the Capulet feast so that he can find another girl to fall in love with.

He meets Juliet at the feast and they fall in love. They meet in the Capulet orchard that night and decide to get married the next day.

The next day, Romeo meets Tybalt, a Capulet who is extremely angry that Romeo and his cousin sneaked into the feast last night. He challenges Romeo to a duel, but Mercutio, one of Romeo's friends fights him instead. Mercutio gets killed by Tybalt and then Tybalt gets killed by Romeo.

Romeo is exiled for killing Tybalt and goes to a different city called Mantua. Meanwhile, Juliet is forced by her parents to marry another person named Paris. The friar gives her a potion that will make her look like she was dead but not be dead, and Juliet takes it. Romeo hears of Juliet's "death", buys poison, and goes to Juliet's tomb.

He meets Paris on the way and kills him, and then drinks the poison in Juliet's tomb. Juliet wakes up and sees the dead Romeo, so she takes his sword and stabs herself with it. The feud ends and Romeo and Juliet are buried.
