Today I read John 3:16. This verse is in the book of John, which was written by one of Jesus' disciples.

I like this verse because it gives hope to everyone that Jesus died for them and if they believe in Him, they shall be saved and given eternal life. We need saving because we were born sinners and cannot go to heaven unless we are cleansed of our sins.

The only way to be clean is to repent of your sins and give your life to God.

¹⁶For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
