How Ancient Egypt Was Founded
In the beginning, the area around the Nile was not cultivated nor had there been any civilizations on its banks. Then 7,000 years ago the Nile caught the eyes of a few kings and they all settled down there. The area around the Nile was a very good place to live because it provided you with food, freshwater, and more.
Around 5,000 years ago all of the kingdoms formed into two different factions: Lower Egypt, and Upper Egypt, which soon afterward was joined together by a king named Narmer to become Egypt.
