Da Vinci's Interest in Anatomy
Leonardo Da Vinci lived from 1452 - 1519
Leonardo was an artist, an engineer, an architect, and a scientist.
He became interested in anatomy when he saw an old man die a calm death. He later studied the man’s corpse and concocted a theory that the man lived longer because he had less fat.
Later in his life, Leonardo became interested in drawing the human body, he even drew the cross-section of someone’s skull.
His most famous painting concerning anatomy was the fetus in the womb.
