Ancient Chinese Artifacts

This artifact is a turtle shell but not some normal old shell, it is an oracle bone. If you look close enough you can spot markings on it. This artifact was used for "fortune-telling" during the Shang Dynasty.

This is a statue of Confucius the founder of the Confucianism belief. In ancient China, there were three beliefs: Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Nowadays Islam and Christianity arrived in this country.

In this image, we can see an emperor sitting on his throne, beside his portrait there is a bow hanging on the wall. On the throne is sitting the "Yellow Emperor" who built a temple to "God." This emperor established the worship of the sun, moon, and five planets.

In this picture, we see a map of China. The oldest map in the world is the Guixian Map which dates back to the 4th century B.C.

This is and painting of the silk road from Confucius' time. On this road, the Chinese traded salt, iron, fish, cattle, and silk.

This is an image of some Chinese artwork on pots. The pots that the Chinese make are sometimes created out of porcelain or china which is very fragile.

In this picture, we can see the Great Wall Of China lit up by the afternoon sun. This massive wall was started from 220 to 206 B.C.
