Alexander's Victory Over Porus
Alexander wanted to go and conquer India. The only problem with this was that the king of that land, Porus, was amassing an army to battle against the Macedonian threat. When Alexander attacked, his army almost lost the battle, but won because of a strategy called the Macedonian Phalanx.
The Macedonians took Porus captive and brought him before Alexander, who asked him how he wanted to be treated. Porus said that he expected to be treated like a king, so Alexander sets him free, gives him his kingdom back, and they become friends.
